This is Why Looking for A Salesforce Admin Job is Stressful (and how to relieve it…)

It’s a really good time to be a Salesforce admin. ????

With a tight labor market, many employers are going the extra mile to hang onto their top talent (that’s YOU). And with Salesforce seemingly becoming stronger every day, the need for talented admins is increasing. There is no shortage of Salesforce admin jobs today!

But when your skills are in demand, there is no harm at all in testing the waters. Or maybe you’re simply unhappy in your current job and want to find something that more closely aligns with your goals. We get it!

I talk to a lot of Salesforce admins in that same position every day, and I hear a lot about your frustrations and what’s stressing you out right now. Even in a candidate’s market, when employers are clamoring for your exact skill set, applying for jobs is STRESSFUL.

In particular, I’m hearing this feedback a lot. Do any of them sound familiar to you?

1. You’re not finding jobs that you actually want.

It can seem like a “sea of same” out there, can’t it? When you search for Salesforce admin jobs, pretty much every one of them sounds the same. And none of them (or few of them) may sound like they are actually jobs you want!

2. No one seems interested in your resume.

Despite all this talk about Salesforce admins being in demand, if you’re submitting your resume to jobs and not hearing back, it can be super frustrating. If you have at least 1 year of experience as a Salesforce admin, you should be hearing back for jobs!

3. You’re not getting calls after you go out on interviews.

This one can be especially frustrating. Putting yourself out there for new jobs and going on interviews takes a lot of time and effort. To go through that effort and not hear back from employers is demoralizing and frustrating.

4. You’re worried your current employer is going to find out.

I hear this one a LOT, and it’s completely justified. Particularly when we’re leaving such detailed digital trails nowadays, it could be really awkward (and potentially damaging if your employer decides to let you go) for your current employer to find out you’re looking for work!

Here’s how to take the stress out of searching for Salesforce admin jobs.

All of the stressors I just mentioned are completely valid. I talk to admins every day who are burned out and frustrated in their job searches. Some are on the brink of giving up their searches and resigning themselves to unfulfilling opportunities.

My short advice is: Don’t give up! Really, these stressors are all real and they are all avoidable. Let me tackle them one by one:

Finding jobs you actually want.

Here’s the thing: a lot of times, companies do not know how to write a job posting that speaks to the actual job and company. Sometimes they just don’t have their finger on what it is that makes a job attractive to an admin like you! They want to hear from you and you want to apply…you just need to know that a particular opening is the right fit.

Here at Tech2, we work closely with employers to help them craft better job postings, but more importantly, we take the time to get to know YOU and what you’re looking for in a new job. Then, instead of you searching and hoping, we just let you know when we have found a potential match. Voilá, stress removed ????

Crafting a resume that gets the attention of employers.

With applicant tracking systems designed to weed out resumes, and hiring managers or recruiters who spend a few seconds at most scanning your resume, it can be frustrating when your resume doesn’t stand out or generate interest.

Because we work with employers so closely, we know what it takes for resumes to stand out and “pass’ applicant tracking systems. And because employers trust us to only provide the best Salesforce admins for their openings, rather than a few seconds, employers are listening to us when we are raving about you! We’ll help you improve plus your resume, but our clients rely on our recommendations and input more than resumes.

Not getting calls.

There are few things more frustrating for a job seeker than going to an interview and not hearing back! While we can’t speak for every employer, when we partner with admins to help their job searches, we keep you in the loop throughout the process. No “ghosting” — you’ll always know what’s going on and where you stand!

Keeping your job search quiet.

When you apply online and post your resume, you never know who is going to find it. When you partner with Tech2, we are always discreet when communicating with potential employers, and take every precaution to keep your job search private.

Finding new Salesforce admin jobs doesn’t have to be stressful.

I’m happy to learn more about you and what you’re looking for in a new job. Feel free to apply to one of the Salesforce admin jobs listed on our site, or shoot me an email to talk more about your dream job. I’m here to help!
